AFC and NFC West preview

San Diego Chargers It was some playoff run last year by the Bolts and had they taken more of the opportunties presented to them in the Redzone a Superbowl appearance was possible. Though the Defense will suffer because of Merrimans stupidity I still see a big playoff run.

Perdiction 12-4 AFC West Champion

Denver Broncos It's a huge season in Mile High that could ultimately test Mike Shannahan's fate as Head Coach. Though Cutler has made decent progression in the Orange and White colours ultimately nothing then a Playoff spot will be accepted. Denver has a decent running game but Cutler needs a balanced attack in this division

Perdiction 9-7

Oakland Raiders The Silver and Black had an offseason that can be described as mix. They grabbed Run DMC in the draft, Traded for De Angelo Hall and we finally willl get to see some decent JaMarcus Russell action. The problem being that the expectations in Oakland this season remain zilch other then lets grab another great top 5 pick

Another season with Al at the helm

Perdiction 4-12

Kansas City Chiefs Neither Damon Huard nor Brodie Croyle will be able to hold this season down. LJ should dominate the running game and Glenn Dorsey is alongst the favourites for Rookie of the year. But they lost Jared Allen and it's hard to see how the Chiefs will make any playoff push

Perdiction 8-8

NFC West

Seattle Seahawks Last year for Mike Holmgren, Shaun Alexander departs you would think this signals a slight powershift in one of the NFL's weakest divisions. Not really it would be a stretch to see past Seattle as NFC west champs. They've attempted to secure this division in the long term by adidng a line coach, Guard and Running backs. The question remains what happens for them in January.

Perdiction 11-5 NFC West Champions

Arizona Cardinals It all rests on the offensive line and everyone on this team knows it. You like to think a team that hasn't made a playoff appearance in 10 years would finally end the curse but Leinart isn't good enough. However a good draft means they may have a chance of ending Seattle's stronghold. Just not this year

Perdiction 5-11

St Louis Rams They didn't make any upgrades to their O-line meaning an offense of bulger, Jackson and Holt will be kept off the firld shorter then it should. Chris long was an excellent pick but either way failing to upgrade an essential part of their offense will let them down.

Perdiction 8-8

San Francisco 49ers Despite yours truly being a Niners fan it was a constant source of dissapointment to watch the disaster that Jim Hostler created. Now that Martz has been hired it still remains to be seen whether his pass happy offense will work and will Gore be used in a Marshall Faulk like role but either way because of the low expectancy in the Bay area that might suit Mike Nolan the best and hopefully get the Niners to perform. Heart says a Wildcard spot. Head says another losing season

Perdiction 4-12

Key to the Niners this year
